On March 30, 2026, the World Data Organization (WDO) was officially inaugurated in Beijing and has commenced operations. Beijing Data Group, a subsidiary of BSAM, has been elected as Founding Council Member.

Mission of the WDO is to bridge the data divide, unlock the value of data, and boost the digital economy. To this end, the WDO will foster global data cooperation and governance practices, actively explore efficient communication and rational utilization paths of data based on compliance, security and trustworthiness, and give solid support for the development of global digital economy. The WDO is a professional, non-governmental and non-profit international body voluntarily established by relevant entities and individuals in the global data sector. Headquartered in Beijing, the WDO currently comprises over 200 members from 40 countries.

Beijing Data Group plays an active and supportive role in the establishment of the WDO, making preparatory work and participating fully in the WDO Inaugural Conference. Guo Yonghao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager of BSAM and concurrently Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of Beijing Data Group, attended the WDO Inaugural Conference and associated activities.
